We source, roast, wholesale, brew and retail coffee. Having established pioneering coffee businesses since 2001, the creation of Seven Seeds in 2007 encapsulated all of their ideals of how coffee should be - exceptional and transparent in a culture open to everyone. Game changing then, and game changing now.

Transparency & The Future of Coffee

2018 marked a statement of intent for us. A statement to make sure that people growing exceptional coffee are still doing so in decades to come. A statement that exposes the traceability that coffee producers deserve, and discerning drinkers demand as the new norm. So, we started publishing the price we pay directly to producers, it's called farmgate. We're proud we can publish this for both our single origins and blends.

Oh, and The Name

Seven Seeds takes its name from the precious cargo which Baba Budan smuggled out of Yemen and into India during the 17th century. By strapping seven seeds of fertile coffee to his waist, Brother Budan broke through the tightly regulated system which had, until then, kept coffee cultivation within the confines of the Arabic world. Because of Baba Budan and his determination to spread coffee around the world, we are now able to source beans from the Americas, Africa and Asia.
