Founded in 2008 by Anette Moldvaer and YouTube coffee influencer and author James Hoffmann, the company is under the leadership of Felicity Whitehead. Our purpose is simple: to source outstanding, seasonal coffee, roast it to bring out its best, and deliver a coffee experience that delights—every single time.

Over the years, we've been proud to contribute to putting London's vibrant speciality coffee scene on the map—and our mission to grow a global coffee community continues.

Relationships are at the heart of everything we do. We go the distance to bolster our longstanding and existing partnerships, engineer bespoke supply chains to support direct connections with producers and mills, engage in forward-buying contracts, and participate in pre-financing initiatives. Our sourcing approach is built on open dialogue, where expertise and feedback flow both ways, and risk is shared more fairly across the supply chain.

But our mission goes beyond responsible sourcing and precise roasting. It's about creating memorable coffee experiences. Whether through our Twelve Lessons in Coffee subscription program or Square Mile Events hosted here at our roastery or at the Prufrock Barista Training Centre, we aim to connect people, spark curiosity, and celebrate and share everything we love about speciality coffee.
