"The Roof of Sumatra" Mount Kerinchi is the highest mountain on Sumatra Island and one of the most active volcanoes in Indonesia. Surrounded by fertile soil gifted by living volcanoes and dense tropical rainforests, nature is the perfect land for growing coffee. Nevertheless, in Kerinch, it has been customary to sell less dried parchment to intermediate processors .
Then, in 2017, a turning point came with the establishment of the Lukun Saudara Cooperative in Kerinche. By installing a joint processing facility, members are now able to directly manage every stage from coffee cultivation to processing with their own hands. Thanks to the efforts of 50 members, the potential of the fertile volcanic soil on Mt. Kerinch is blossoming. The drying room, which was 50 square meters at the time of the cooperative's establishment, has been greatly expanded to 800 square meters today.
Anaerobic honey processed Indonesian Kerinch coffee is slong with the flavors of acerola, orange, and grape. It is a coffee that finishes with the sweetness of chocolate and a smooth texture. Please enjoy.
