We wanted something unusual for our espresso, but not too crazy. So we chose Nicaragua San Antonio, which is fresh, juicy and playful. The taste of green apple spreads on your tongue along with the sweet taste of hazelnut cream, and the ripe grapefruit completes the show.
The San Antonio farm supports various social and environmental initiatives and promotes sustainability in social, economic and environmental aspects. Farmers are rewarded based on the quality of their coffee. The farm’s payment system rewards higher quality and offers a premium price for well-processed parchment coffee. The main challenge facing San Antonio is climate change, which has increased production costs. Future plans include improving the wet processing system to increase efficiency and quality of production. The farm exemplifies a commitment to sustainable coffee farming, quality production and community support, ensuring a bright future for Nicaraguan coffee.
