"We don't have a coffee addiction. Slightly too attached to it."
We started drinking coffee a long time ago when we were studying overseas. We always made time to get an Americano at a coffee shop close to our flat before school started. To be honest, the smell of the coffee shop and the aroma of the made coffee drew us in more at the moment. We initially didn't even enjoy the black coffee we bought, but we kept returning because of its aroma and effects.
As students, our pocket money is always tight, and it's impossible to buy a cup of coffee for $2-3 twice a day. Eventually, we learned to brew our own coffee at home, and we became home brewers and habitual drinkers.
In any case, we found something strange when we got back to Indonesia: despite the fact that it is one of the biggest producers of coffee worldwide, we had trouble locating the high-quality beans we had been drinking overseas. We had tried a number of options: coffee from the supermarket? It was mostly low-quality and stale. Roasteries in the area? The coffee was difficult to locate, the results were uneven, and the customer service was subpar since it wasn't taken seriously. After a while, we made the decision to attempt roasting our own coffee. We were able to roast coffee that fit our tastes because to our significant reading, research, and coffee experience.
After a few months, it turned out that many people liked our coffee, and some of them even asked if we sold it. From there, we started selling our coffee online under the name Space Roastery. Space has two meanings. Space means space because we believe in the importance of having space at home to brew coffee and become home brewers. Also, space means space, because our coffee is "out of this world" in quality.
If you consume Space Roastery coffee, it means you are supporting our struggle to increase the consumption of quality coffee in Indonesia by forming home brewers and habitual drinkers.
