This espresso is for those who want out of the ordinary, focusing less on the chocolate notes and more on vibrancy. It's juicy, sweet and complex. The roast tends to be on the lighter side, highlighting juiciness and making this one of the most lively espressos on our lineup.

The coffee in Lolly Drop right now comes from a longtime coffee producer from Colombia: Juan Jimenez. He grows one of the most fruity washed pink bourbons in Colombia.

JUAN KEEPS ON IMPRESSING WITH HIS PINK BOURBON

This is another great lot from Juan Jimenez. It’s a great expression of the Pink Bourbon variety. Juicy, lively and super clean. We have been working with Juan since 2020 and we regularly buy his Pink Bourbon, Red Bourbon, Colombia and Caturra. He’s a gem and an exemplar of what a quality focused producer can accomplish in Colombia.

It’s a Pink Bourbon that has undergone a double fermentation: 48 hour anaerobic in cherry form; then it was depulped and fermented in traditional barrels in mucilage for another 40 hours. Then the coffee was fully washed. The formal name for this processing is Double or Two-Stage Fermentation. The result is a vibrant, expressive coffee that reminds me of everything that’s good in this world.
